Nehemiah Institute:

Voice of Democracy:
The Voice of Democracy is an annual national audio essay contest that
is designed to foster patriotism by giving high school students in grades
9 through 12 the opportunity to voice their opinion about their personal
obligations as an American and address their responsibility to our
country. Created in 1947, the scholarship program annually provides
more than $2.5 million in scholarships. Contestants write and record a
three to five minute essay on an annual theme. Each Department's first
place winner receives an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C., plus
the opportunity to compete for national scholarships. The first place
national winner receives a $25,000 scholarship. All
national scholarships are paid directly to the American university,
college or vocational/technical school as selected by the recipient. The
2002-2003 theme is "Freedom's Obligation." Deadline for entries

National Christian Homeschool Basketball
Championships' Summer Coaches and Players Clinic:
This is a three-day event, with seminars and games for all
participants. The Clinic takes place during August first through third.
Also, the clinic is open to all coaches and all varsity level players. To

Summit 2002 at Bryan College:
A two-week student leadership conference
for students ages 16-21, July 14-26. The Summit helps to equip students to
articulate an intelligent, compassionate Christian worldview. AND, it
motivates them to lead. The impact of this program lasts for YEARS, not

Cedarville University Debate Institute:
July 15 - July 27 - At Cedarville University's Policy Debate
Institute, high school students are trained not only for
interscholastic debate competition, but also to compete in the world of
ideas and to express arguments in a winsome and convincing manner. As part
of their mission, they also seek to equip Christian
communicators so that they are able to present a message in such a way

Cedarville University Summer Studies:
A program for high school juniors, June 10 to June 29, 2002. Picture

Brain Builder - Math:
The author claims that this game includes more than 500 million
puzzles (go ahead, prove him wrong) that build skills in addition,
subtraction, multiplication, and division. The game includes three levels
of stomach-churning math problems: basic, intermediate, and advanced. It

Math Assault II:
Are your kids fourth- to ninth-grade students? They'll probably enjoy

Welcome to Algebra Online:
Algebra Online a pretty incredible site. For instance, type an
algebraic formula you're having trouble with and the site simplifies it
for you. There's also help with calculus, equations, and matrices, all

stunning site. This site offers 20 categories of math problems using Java
games to keep the kids interested (and probably you as well). BTW, Quia is
