Outdoor Adventure Weekend 2013
"Encouraging a love for learning and a reverence for God's Creation."
Homeschoolers of Maine returns to Sunday River!! Bring the entire family to join HOME, June 6 - 8, 2013, for our first annual Outdoor Adventure Weekend at the Grand Summit Conference Center at Sunday River Resort in the mountains of Bethel, Maine.
We have missed Sunday River, where HOME's annual conventions were held for many years. The mountain setting is a perfect environment for learning about the Maine outdoors, and the resort offers a comfortable place for homeschool families to gather together for fellowship and fun. Those of us who have been there before will feel right at home. Newcomers will want to come back year after year!
We have a host of exciting presenters on the schedule. Some are familiar faces, and others are joining us for the first time. During the event, you will be able to choose from a wide variety of family centered activities and workshops both inside and outside. In addition to our scheduled events, Special HOME Outdoor Adventure Weekend Activities on the mountain will include geocaching, disc golf, bungee trampoline, and ziplines! There are many hiking and nature walk trails on the mountain, as well.
HOME GRADUATION 2013
Our annual Graduation Ceremony will also take place at this location. If you have a student graduating in 2013, make this a weekend celebration for the entire family and extended family! The graduation ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 6:30pm. (Note that a graduation ceremony will not be held during the spring convention, this year.)
