Graduation Ceremony 2013

June 6, 2013 at the Summit Conference Center at Sunday River Resort in Bethel (New Location!)

Do you have a young adult who will be finishing their high school education in the year 2013? If so, HOME would like to invite you to participate in a statewide graduation ceremony on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 6:30pm at Sunday River Resort in Bethel. Join us to mark this momentous occasion in the life of your child. Make it a weekend graduation celebration for the entire family and extended family! Come to learn, play and spend time together in the great outdoors during HOME's Outdoor Education Weekend!

Past ceremonies have always provided a great sense of accomplishment for each participating family. They are also an encouragement for other homeschoolers to continue on through high school! If your family would like to participate, please respond by May 15 at the very latest.

Graduation apparel and diplomas can be ordered through the HSLDA Store.

GRADUATION KEYNOTE ADDRESS - Major Pain: You Ain't Seen Nuthin' Yet Scott Woodruff, Senior Counsel at HSLDA

What is God's purpose for pain?  Scott Woodruff will open up from his own experiences and Scripture God's purpose in allowing us to go through incredible pain.  Being criticized, being rejected, losing everything that's precious to you -- how will you handle it when it happens --not IF it happens -- to you?  More than you would ever imagine rides on that question.  There is a way out of the darkness.  Job would add:  "Been there.  Done that."

GRADUATION DINNER

An Italian dinner will be served immediately following the ceremony for graduates and their guests. Dinner is optional, and reservations are required. The cost is $15 per person, and includes soup, caesar salad, bread, dinner entrees, dessert and a beverage. For dinner reservations, please contact Raylene at raye4home@gmail.com

** Please note that a graduation ceremony will not be held during the spring convention, this year.
