Getting Started in Homeschooling

Are you just beginning to homeschool? Are you researching the option for your family? Plan to attend an upcoming workshop! If you are a veteran homeschooler, consider bringing someone new! Come to be encouraged, as well as to share your experience with others. The workshop begins promptly at 11:30am at the Augusta Armory in conjunction with HOME's 19th Annual Used Curriculum Sale and Expo The used curriculum sale begins at 9:30am and ends at 1:00pm. The exhibitor area will be open from 8:00am - 2:00pm. The Heart of HOME Bookstore will be in the exhibitor area to provide access to new curriculum and resources for beginner and veteran homeschoolers alike!

We will cover the following topics:

  • Record keeping
  • Curriculum planning
  • Helpful resources
  • Portfolios and evaluations
  • Support groups
  • Special needs
