It All Began in 1990...
Spurred on and supported by Christopher J. Klicka at Home School Legal Defense Association, HOME founders Ed and Kathy Green launched a non-profit ministry to serve the needs of families within the Maine homeschool community.
As the number of homeschoolers grew over the years, HOME grew, too! More than three decades later, the mission and purpose of the ministry remains steadfastly the same. Today, the organization of HOME carries on its work with many more hands as it fully supports homeschooling families in their God-given and constitutional right and responsibility to oversee the education of their children.
