National Lighthouse Day

The lighthouse has been a visible part of HOME's logo from our beginning in 1990. The words "Lighting the Way for Maine Homeschoolers" speak clearly of our mission! That is why HOME will be celebrating National Lighthouse Day with a special hike and art contest.

** Participants in all HOME events and activities are required to follow the current COVID guidelines set forth by individual venue hosts. Following CDC guidelines is also recommended.

Lighthouse Art Contest

In honor of National Lighthouse Day, HOME is sponsoring a Lighthouse Art contest from August 1 - 15. Send us your best lighthouse drawing or photograph and it will be featured on HOME's Facebook page cover for one month, as well as announced in one of HOME's upcoming email newsletters. Please follow all directions below to participate.

1. Submit your artwork or photography no later than August 15 by filling out this form.

2. If submitting a black and white drawing, be sure to use bold lines so that the art is visible in the file upload.

3. All artwork must be submitted in high resolution .jpg or .png format.
