HOME Park & Playground Days
Meet Others and Have Some Fun!
HOME Park & Playground Days provide an opportunity for homeschooling families to meet and build relationships. Besides that, when children are at a playground, they do just what they do best: play! Active play is important to healthy development and learning.
Please join us for fellowship and fun at various playgrounds and parks in Maine. Feel free to bring a ball or frisbee to share and a snack or picnic lunch and beverages for your children.
* Please keep in mind that parents (or guardians) will be responsible for the safety and supervision of their own children at all dates and locations for HOME Summer Playground Days.
2023 Schedule
Thursday, June 8, 2023 - 12:00 - 2:00pm at Woods Pond, 676 High St., Bridgton
Bring a picnic and your bathing suit. This will be a great time for kids and teens. All ages welcome!
There may or may not be a lifeguard on duty. Parents will be responsible for their own children. The HOME leader will be wearing a name tag. Introduce yourself and get to know some other homeschool families!
Tuesday, June 13, 2023 - 12:30 - 2:30 at Knowlton Park, 160 State St., Ellsworth
Call the day ahead to Dragon Fire Pizza (207-667-3473, gluten free options and salads available) to order your lunch and ask for the Homeschool 15% discount. Pick up your pizza around 12:15/12:30 and then join us at the park to make connections, relax, and get refreshed. Bring swimsuits, extra clothes, and towels as the splash pad will be open!
Thursday, August 31, 2023 - 12:00 - 2:00pm at Graustein Park, Fairview Venue, Fryeburg
Bring a picnic lunch. All ages welcome. There is a basketball hoop and a large field for Frisbee or other games for older kids or teens.
